Tradesman Certificates
[Introduction]Tradesman certificates allow a donator to request a custom tradesman item at any time. These certificates do not expire and they can be gifted to other players, regardless of whether that player is a donator or not.
When redeeming a certificate, you must wait at least one month before redeeming another. This countdown begins as soon as you submit, not when you receive the item. If it's been one month or longer and you still have a request in the queue, you will need to wait for that request to be fulfilled before submitting another one. This will not affect any existing or future certificates. It's not possible to lose a certificate due to a backlog in the queue.
[Roleplay Guidance]
To help simplify matters of roleplay and player convenience, the certificates themselves are considered to be completely out of character. This means that 'being a donator', the certificate marketplace, and certificates don't exist in the in-character world.
However, once you redeem a certificate, it's implied that you've made an arrangement with a tradesman. A tradesman is an in-character entity who sources, or produces, unique goods and services. As such, once your request has been put into the queue, it becomes an in-character matter. This means that further correspondance will take place through the game's mail system. You will receive your final item through the mail (or a room on Empanda if it's something that can't be mailed) or you will receive a letter through the mail explaining any problems or relaying any questions.
[Commands]
@CGIVE <person>
Give <person> a tradesman certificate. Once you have selected a player to gift, you will be prompted for the amount of tradesman certificates you wish to transfer. You can't give more than you have in your account. Typing the command without arguments will prompt you for a player's name. Once complete, you'll see something like:
You give 1 tradesman certificate to Mitchell Morganivich Mihola.
The recipient will see:
Mitchell Morganivich Mihola has just given you 1 tradesman certificate.
@CREQUEST
Request an item using one of your available certificates. You will be presented with a menu, similar to the one that appears in the Empanda Station tradesman concourse. You must have at least one tradesman certificate to utilize this command.
@CERT-MARKET
Enter the tradesman item certificate marketplace. You can sell or buy tradesman certificates here for credits. The command may be shortened down to @CM for brevity. Be warned that trades are not audited by the Toastsoft hosts. Confirm at your own risk!
You may also type @CM [on | off] to connect or disconnect from the tradesman market channel. Notifications of new and completed sales are announced here.
REQUESTCHECK
See if you're eligible to request a donator item. Note: similarly to the commands above, this command is out of character.
[Notes]
* Tradesman certificates are attached to your account, not your character. This means they stay with you through rerolls.
